Lord Shiva Puja Kit

  • Vibhuti Bhasma is used to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva for spiritual growth, purity, and divine protection. It removes negative energies and brings peace, devotion, inner strength, and positive vibrations into life.

  • Lord Shiva is the Supreme Destroyer of illusions, the Auspicious One, and the ultimate source of cosmic consciousness. Worshipping him—especially through the continuous pouring of holy waters (Abhishek) using the sacred Gaumukhi—cools the physical and spiritual atmosphere of the home, bringing profound peace, the eradication of severe diseases, and liberation from karmic cycles. The inclusion of highly specialized items loved by the Lord, such as Vibhuti Bhasma(Sacred Ash) and Siddhi Leaves (Bhang), anchors his mystical, ascetic energy directly into the household!
  • Lord Shiva Puja is performed to invite profound peace, spiritual liberation, cosmic harmony, and to seek the Lord's absolute protection from negativity. It is suitable for both regular worship and special devotional moments.
  • • Daily or regular household worship (Nitya Puja) for spiritual tranquility
  • • On the grand night of Maha Shivaratri or monthly Masa Shivaratri observances
  • • During the highly auspicious monsoon month of Shravan (July/August)
  • • On Pradosh Vrat evenings (the twilight period of the 13th lunar day)
  • • Every Monday (Somvar), which is traditionally dedicated to Lord Shiva
  • • Any moment a family is seeking healing grace, inner strength, and liberation from worldly anxieties
  • Step 1 - Gandha (Sacred Paste): Lovingly apply the Vibhuti Bhasma, White Chandan, and Ashtagandha to the Shiva Linga while chanting: "Om Gandhang Namah".
  • Step 2 - Pushpa (Flowers & Leaves): Offer white flowers and the highly sacred Siddhi Leaves to the Lord while chanting: "Om Pushpang Baushat".
  • Step 3 - Dhupa (Incense): Burn the purifying Agarbatti to completely clear the environment while chanting: "Om Dhupang Namah".
  • Step 4 - Deepa (Illumination): Light a lamp using the Cow Ghee to guide the Lord's radiant light into your home while chanting: "Om Deepang Namah".
  • Step 5 - Naivedya (Food Offering): Offer home-cooked sweet foods alongside the Pancha Sashya as a gesture of deep gratitude while chanting: "Om Naivedyang Nivedayami".
  • Steps 1-5 (Welcome, Boundaries & Purification): The Pandit purifies the home using the Ganga Jal. He establishes the sacred altar, formally offering a Seat (Asan), Welcome (Swagat), water for washing feet (Padya), a sacred offering (Arghya), and water for sipping (Achamaniya).
  • Steps 6-9 (Madhuparka, Abhishek & Adornment): The priest must offer the 6th-step sweet mixture (Madhuparka) using your included Pure Honey. Then comes the grand Abhishek (The Great Bath) where the Shiva Linga is continuously bathed using the Gaumukhi vessel filled with Ganga Jal and milk. The Lord is then draped in sacred garments (Basan) and adorned (Abharan) with the Vibhuti Bhasma.
  • Steps 10-15 (The Grand Offerings): The deity is offered rich fragrances like White Chandan (Gandha), flowers and Siddhi Leaves (Pushpa). He is then offered fierce purifying incense (Dhupa), glowing ghee lamps (Deepa), and a grand food offering (Naivedya).
  • Step 16 (The Complete Tambula): According to the strict rules of the Purohit Darpan, a 16-step royal worship is absolutely invalid without Tambula. The Pandit concludes the offerings by presenting the scripturally mandated Supari, Haritaki, Clove, and Cardamom to sweeten the Lord's mouth.
  • Conclusion (Aarti): The ceremony concludes with a breathtaking Aarti using the Pure Camphor!
  • • Eradication of Negativity: Worshipping Lord Shiva instantly destroys fear, anxiety, and unseen obstacles, replacing them with unshakable mental clarity.
  • • Physical & Spiritual Healing: The sacred waters from the Abhishek (using the Gaumukhi) are highly charged with cosmic energy and are traditionally consumed as medicine to cure ailments and promote longevity.
  • • Cosmic Purification: The extraordinary elements used in his setup—such as the Vibhuti Bhasma and Camphor—draw on the purest, most ascetic energies of the universe, fundamentally cleansing the spiritual atmosphere of your home.
  • The MySanatan Lord Shiva Puja Kit is an exceptionally focused package designed to invoke the Supreme Lord of the Cosmos! We understand that to truly host Mahadeva, your offerings must be perfectly pure and scripturally exact. That is why we have carefully sourced the traditional brass Gaumukhi, the authentic Vibhuti Bhasma, and his beloved Siddhi Leaves. Furthermore, by specifically including the Pure Honey for the 6th step and the precise spices (Supari, Haritaki, Clove, Cardamom) strictly required for the 16th-step Tambula—which is absolutely mandated by classical manuals—we ensure your home is flawlessly prepared for the ultimate celebration of divine grace!

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Q1: The kit includes Akshat Rice, but I have heard that we shouldn't offer unbroken rice to Lord Shiva. Is this true?
  • For Devotees & Scholars: Yes, this is an incredible scriptural secret! The Purohit Darpan explicitly commands: "na akshatair archayed shivam" (One must not worship Shiva directly with Akshat). While Akshat is essential for setting up the altar, making the sacred base for the Kalash, or offering to attendant deities, you should never place the rice directly onto the Shiva Linga. Use the provided Vibhuti Bhasma and Siddhi Leaves for his direct adornment!
  • Q2: Since Shivaratri is celebrated at night, should I face a different direction than I normally do for daytime worship?
  • For Experienced Practitioners: No! Lord Shiva holds a very special directional rule. While classical texts often require facing East during the day and North at night for general deities, the Purohit Darpan explicitly states: "Shiva puja diva o ratri ubhay samayei uttar-mukh hoiya koribe". This means that whether you are worshipping Lord Shiva in the bright morning or the dead of night, you must always perform his rites facing North!
  • Q3: The kit includes a beautiful brass Gaumukhi (cow-mouth vessel) for the Abhishek. How should I ritually purify it before the bath?
  • For Home Ritualists: Simple water is not enough to achieve ceremonial purity for metals! According to the ancient Apastamba Sutras, different materials require highly specific natural cleaners. The text dictates that a vessel made of metal or brass "becomes pure by being scoured with ashes". You must physically scour the brass Gaumukhi using clean ash or earth and rinse it before filling it with the sacred Ganga Jal!
  • Q4: I have a beautiful garden full of Kunda and Ketaki flowers. Can I offer them to Lord Shiva?
  • For Beginners: You must strictly avoid this! The Purohit Darpan contains a highly specific list of Prohibited Flowers (Nishiddha Pushpa) exclusively for Lord Shiva. The text explicitly mandates that Kunda, Ketaki, Bandhuka, and Red Jaba (Hibiscus) are strictly forbidden in Shiva worship. To properly honor him, stick to white flowers, Dhatura, and the botanical leaves provided in your kit!
  • Q5: The kit highlights specific spices like Betel Nut, Clove, and Cardamom for 'Tambula'. Why is this called out for the 16-step puja?
  • For Cultural Enthusiasts: Because it is scripturally non-negotiable! The classical texts dictate that there is no 16-step (Shodashopachar) puja where Tambula is not mandatory. As the exact 16th and final required offering, Tambula is presented to sweeten the deity's mouth after the grand feast. Without these specific spices, a grand royal worship is technically incomplete, which is why we ensure they are perfectly packaged in your premium kit!
