Maha Mrityunjaya Puja Kit
Maha Mrityunjaya Puja is performed to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva for health, longevity, and protection from negative energies. It removes fears and obstacles and brings peace, strength, well-being, and divine grace into life.
- The Maha Mrityunjaya Puja is the most powerful life-saving and healing ritual in the Sanatan tradition. Dedicated to Lord Shiva in His form as Tryambakam (the three-eyed conqueror of death), this profound worship and fire sacrifice (Homa) is performed to defeat premature death, cure severe illnesses, and eradicate deep-rooted karmic fears. By offering sacred woods, ghee, and black sesame into the sacrificial fire, devotees create an impenetrable energetic shield (Raksha Kavach) around themselves and their loved ones.
- Because of its immense power, this puja is highly recommended during times of crisis, health challenges, or astrological turbulence.
- • During severe illness, surgery, or physical distress.
- • To counteract adverse astrological periods (such as Markesh Dasha, Sade Sati, or Kalsarp Yog).
- • On birthdays, to seek the blessing of a long, healthy, and prosperous life (Ayush Homa).
- • On highly auspicious Shaiva days like Maha Shivratri, Shravan Maas (Sawan) Mondays, or Pradosh Vrat.
- If you are doing a simple daily chant without a priest, you do not need to light the heavy Havan fire or use the Tambula spices!
- Step 1: Place a Shiva Lingam or picture of Lord Shiva on your Puja Place. Prepare a diya with Cow Ghee and Cotton Wicks, placing it strictly on His right side. Light the Agarbatti.
- Step 2: Sprinkle Ganga Jal using a tip of the Kusha Grass to purify yourself and the room.
- Step 3: Apply a tilak of Vibhuti Bhasma and White Chandan to the Lord.
- Step 4: Offer the Akshat Rice and Black Sesame Seeds at His base, chanting the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra (Om Tryambakam Yajamahe...).
- Step 5: Light the Natural & Pure Camphor to perform the Aarti, bowing in deep devotion for health and protection.
- Step 1 (Purification): The priest will use the Yellow Mustard Seeds and Kusha Grass to seal the directions (Dikbandhan), followed by advanced breath control (Pranayama) and elemental cleansing (Bhuta-shuddhi).
- Step 2 (Abhishekam & Shringar): Assist the priest in bathing the Shiva Lingam with Ganga Jal and Honey, then adorning the Lord with the White Homa Cheli, Vibhuti, and Chandan.
- Step 3 (Pancha Ratna & Tambula): The priest will offer the Pancha Ratna (Five Gems). Following the strict 16-step sequence, the full Tambula (Supari, Clove, Cardamom, Haritaki) is offered to sweeten the Lord's mouth.
- Step 4 (The Sacred Homa/Yagya): The priest will ignite the sacred fire using the Bel Kath and Joggo Dumur Pata (Audumbar wood). Under continuous, thunderous chanting of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, you will offer the Havan Samagri, Black Sesame Seeds, and copious amounts of Cow Ghee into the flames.
- Step 5: The ritual concludes with a grand Purna Ahuti (final offering) and a majestic Camphor Aarti, sealing the healing vibrations into the patient's soul.
- • Conquers Premature Death: Specifically prescribed in the Vedas to avert Akal Mrityu (untimely death) and severe accidents.
- • Profound Healing: The vibrations of the mantra combined with the medicinal smoke of the Havan Samagri deeply purify the physical and energetic body, accelerating recovery from chronic diseases.
- • Destroys Fear and Anxiety: Worshipping the Conqueror of Death instantly removes paranoia, depression, and the fear of the unknown, granting absolute mental peace.
- The MySanatan Maha Mrityunjaya Puja Kit provides authentic Samidha (sacrificial woods) directly prescribed by the scriptures for Lord Shiva's fire rituals, including genuine Bel Kath and Audumbar.
- [Note: Performing a Homa generates highly purifying, thick medicinal smoke. Please ensure the ritual space is adequately ventilated and that all fire-safety precautions are strictly observed.]
