Vastu Puja Kit

Vastu Puja is performed to remove Vastu Doshas and negative energies from a home or workplace. It brings peace, prosperity, harmony, protection, and positive energy into life.

  • A house is made of physical materials, but a home is made of living energy. A dedicated Vastu Puja (classically known as Bastu Yag) is the foundational worship of the Vastu Purusha—the cosmic spirit of the architecture itself. Unlike a remedial Shanti puja meant to cure heavy existing flaws, this specific Vastu Puja is a joyful, foundational blessing to establish pure energy, harmonize the five elements, and anchor wealth (Lakshmi) into the very soil of the dwelling. As the Vedic NityaKarma reminds the householder, daily and foundational devotion is essential, for "water purifies the body, truth the mind, knowledge the intellect and penance the soul"

  • This vital foundational worship is most grandly celebrated during a Griha Pravesh (housewarming ceremony before moving into a new home). It is also highly recommended after completing major renovations, or if a family is experiencing persistent, unexplained obstacles or discord within the household.

  • Steps 1-5 (Purification & Welcome): The Pandit purifies the entire property using the Gau Mutra and Gobar(Panchagavya), officially welcoming the divine energies of the Vastu Purusha.
  • Steps 6-9 (Authentic Ghat Sthapan & Adornment): The sacred vase is established in the foundation or altar. For a true Vastu setup, the priest uses the highly specific Saptamrittika (Seven Sacred Soils) along with the Sarbausadhi, Teer Kathi, and Pancha Ratna to anchor the earth's energy.
  • Steps 10-15 (The Grand Offerings): The deities are offered the Nava Dhanya (9 Grains), magnificent floral garlands, and illuminated with lamps.
  • Step 16 (The Complete Tambula): There is absolutely no 16-step puja where Tambula is not mandatory. The mathematically perfect Tambula (Supari, Clove, Cardamom, Haritaki) must be offered to sweeten the deity's mouth as the 16th and final step.

Conclusion (Vastu Havan): The ceremony concludes with a fire ritual to balance the cosmos. The priest specifically utilizes the Navgrah Samidha (9 distinct planetary woods) and Havan Samagri to feed the sacred fire, sealing the home's protective aura.

  •  • Anchors Wealth and Prosperity: By establishing the Lakshmi Charan and Cowrie Shells during the foundation rite, the household actively attracts continuous financial abundance.
  •  • Structural Harmony: Honors the Vastu Purusha, ensuring that the physical walls, doors, and foundation of the home support the health and happiness of the family rather than causing resistance.
  •  • Ultimate Spatial Purification: The inclusion of sacred Gau Mutra and Gobar provides the householder with the authentic, scriptural elements needed for profound environmental purification before the family moves in.

  • The MySanatan Vastu Household Puja Kit is a breathtakingly authentic spiritual package explicitly designed to lay the perfect, pure foundation for a new space! We understand the deep distinction between general remedial pacification and true foundational worship. That is why we have meticulously sourced highly specific items meant to anchor life and wealth—like the elusive Saptamrittika (Seven Soils), the authentic Sarbausadhi Herbs, and the auspicious Lakshmi Charan—that are almost impossible to find in generic market kits. By natively including the scripturally compulsory 16th-step Tambula spices and remaining totally transparent about the householder's universal right to perform their own worship, this kit ensures your family can cross the threshold of your new home with absolute confidence, joy, and uncompromising structural authenticity!

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Q1: Does it matter what time of year we perform this foundational Vastu Puja for our new home? For Beginners & Homeowners: Yes, timing is highly auspicious for a foundational Vastu Puja (Bhoomi Pujan or Griha Pravesh)! Because this is a joyful ceremony of creation and new beginnings, classical manuals dictate that such rites should specifically be performed "during the northern course of the sun (uttarāyaṇa), on days of the first fortnight (śukla-pakṣa), on auspicious days". This aligns your new physical home with the upward, expanding energy of the cosmos!
  • Q2: We are doing the 5-step method ourselves. Do we need to do anything special with the Ganga Jal (water) around our home altar?
  • For Beginners & Families: Yes, creating a sacred boundary with water is a beautiful and simple step! When setting up your domestic fire or altar, the practitioner should sprinkle water around the fire. You do this on the south side from west to east saying, “Aditi, give thy consent!”, then on the west side from south to north saying “Anumati, give thy consent!”, on the north side from west to east saying “Sarasvati, give thy consent!”, and finally all around saying “God Savitri, please impel us!”.
  • Q3: During a Griha Pravesh, what directional rules govern how we establish the altar and perform our offerings?
  • For Experienced Devotees: Foundational and auspicious rites have very strict spatial rules compared to ancestral rites. The classical manuals state that all actions for these positive ceremonies must be performed "from left to right" (clockwise). Furthermore, the very first actions and placements of the ritual "should be made on the east side or on the north side," and the concluding steps must end in those exact same directions.
  • Q4: To ensure our new home remains prosperous after the Vastu Puja, are there any traditional daily habits we should adopt?
  • For Householders & Homeowners: A true Vastu home requires continuous spiritual maintenance! The classical Apastamba Dharma Sutra reveals a highly specific, daily secret for household wealth. After your family finishes a meal, you should respectfully sweep the eating area, sprinkle a little water on the place with your palm turned downwards, and take the food remnants to a clean place to the North of the house as a respectful offering to Lord Rudra. The scripture explicitly promises: "In this manner the house will become prosperous!". This simple, daily act ensures the pure energy established by your Vastu Puja continues to bless your family with abundance!
  • Q5: Once the foundational Vastu fire is lit, the house is blessed, and the guests leave, what should the householders do that first night?
  • For Couples & Householders: Moving into a newly consecrated home is treated with the same profound purity as bringing a new bride into the household! To maintain the highly elevated spiritual frequency of the newly blessed dwelling, classical texts instruct that the couple "should both sleep on the ground, they should refrain from having sex, and should avoid salt and pungent food" for the first three nights. This beautiful vow of simplicity grounds your family's energy directly into the pure foundation you just established!
