  • Step 1 - Gandha (Sacred Paste): Lovingly apply the White Chandan, Turmeric, Roli Kumkum, and Chandan Attar to the Lord while chanting: "Om Gandhang Namah".
  • Step 2 - Pushpa (Flowers & Adornments): Place the Lord on the Yellow Puja Cloth. Offer fresh flowers, the Janeu, Raksha Sutra, and Akshat Rice while chanting: "Om Pushpang Baushat".
  • Step 3 - Dhupa (Incense): Burn the purifying Agarbatti, Guggal, and Dhuna over the Chhobra to completely clear the environment of negativity while chanting: "Om Dhupang Namah".
  • Step 4 - Deepa (Illumination): Light your lamps using the Cotton Wicks and Cow Ghee/Mustard Oil to guide the Lord's radiant light into your home while chanting: "Om Deepang Namah".
  • Step 5 - Naivedya (Food Offering): Offer home-cooked sweets alongside the Wheat and Turmeric Root as a gesture of deep gratitude while chanting: "Om Naivedyang Nivedayami".

  • Steps 1-5 (Welcome, Boundaries & Purification): The Pandit purifies the home using the Ganga Jal and Kusha Grass. He formally offers a Seat (Asan), Welcome, water for washing feet (Padya), an offering (Arghya), and water for sipping (Achamaniya).
  • Steps 6-9 (Madhuparka, Bath & Royal Adornment): The priest must offer the 6th-step sweet mixture (Madhuparka) using the Pure Honey. The Lord is bathed, and majestically adorned (Abharan) with the Yellow Puja Cloth and Janeu.

  • For Families & Devotees: You absolutely have the right to perform the core worship yourself! The classical Vedic NityaKarma text emphatically declares that the right to worship God is universal. It states that "from children to the elderly, men and women," everyone is entitled to offer prayers. While a Pandit is required for complex, 16-step ceremonies and large Havans, the simple 5-step devotion (Panchopachar) is perfectly acceptable and beloved by the Lord!
