Maa Manasa Puja Kit

  • Maa Manasa Puja is performed to seek the blessings of Goddess Manasa for protection, prosperity, and family well-being. It removes obstacles, fears, and negative energies and brings peace, happiness, good fortune, and divine grace into life.

  • Maa Manasa is the supreme Goddess of Serpents, universally revered for her power to heal venomous bites, cure infectious diseases, and grant phenomenal fertility and prosperity. Worshipping her creates an impenetrable energetic shield around the household, safeguarding the family from unseen earthly dangers. The inclusion of highly authentic Shakta and earthly elements—such as the Ganga Mitti (Sacred Clay), Khari Mati (White Chalk Clay), and Natural Cowrie Shells—creates a powerful magnetic anchor that draws her protective grace directly into your home.
  • Maa Manasa Puja is performed to invoke the Serpent Goddess's absolute protection against earthly dangers, cure diseases, and bless the family with fertility and prosperity. It is suitable for both regular worship and special devotional moments.
  • • During the highly auspicious monsoon month of Shravan (July/August), specifically on Nag Panchami or Manasa Panchami
  • • During the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of Ashadha or Shravan as meticulously tracked in the Bengali Panjika
  • • Daily or regular household worship for continued protection against venomous creatures and disease
  • • When inaugurating a new home or clearing a piece of land to pacify the earthly energies
  • • Any moment a family seeks the Goddess's absolute protection, healing grace, and peace
  • Step 1 - Gandha (Sacred Paste): Lovingly apply the Red Sindur and sacred pastes to the Goddess's image while chanting: "Om Gandhang Namah".
  • Step 2 - Pushpa (Flowers & Sringar): Offer fresh flowers, the Siddhi Leaves, the Shankha Pola Set, the Nickel Noa, and the Chandmala to reflect her glorious form while chanting: "Om Pushpang Baushat".
  • Step 3 - Dhupa (Incense): Burn the fierce, purifying Dhuna powder over the Chhobra to completely obliterate negative entities from the home while chanting: "Om Dhupang Namah".
  • Step 4 - Deepa (Illumination): Light your lamps using the Cotton Wicks and Cow Ghee to guide the Mother's radiant light into your home while chanting: "Om Deepang Namah".
  • Step 5 - Naivedya (Food Offering): Offer a grand, home-cooked feast alongside the Pancha Sashya as a gesture of deep gratitude while chanting: "Om Naivedyang Nivedayami".
  • Steps 1-5 (Welcome, Boundaries & Purification): The Pandit purifies the home using the Ganga Jal, Gau Mutra, and Kusha Grass. He establishes the sacred altar boundary (Ghat) using the Teer Kathi and Tekaata, formally offering a Seat (Asan), Welcome (Swagat), water for washing feet (Padya), a sacred offering (Arghya), and water for sipping (Achamaniya).
  • Steps 6-9 (Madhuparka, Mahasnan & Royal Adornment): The priest absolutely must offer the 6th-step sweet mixture (Madhuparka) using your included Pure Honey. The Goddess is then bathed, draped in the Red Cheli Cloth (Basan), and majestically adorned with the Shankha Pola, Nickel Noa, and Alta (Abharan).
  • Steps 10-15 (The Grand Offerings): The deity is offered rich fragrances (Gandha), flowers and Siddhi Leaves (Pushpa). She is then offered fierce purifying incense (Dhupa), glowing ghee lamps (Deepa), and a grand food offering (Naivedya).
  • Step 16 (The Complete Tambula): According to the strict rules of the Purohit Darpan, a 16-step royal worship is invalid without Tambula. The Pandit concludes the offerings by presenting the scripturally mandated Supari, Haritaki, Clove, and Cardamom to sweeten the Mother's mouth.
  • Conclusion (Aarti & Havan): The ceremony concludes with a grand Aarti using the Pure Camphor and the Chawar fan. Finally, a massive fire ritual (Agnihotra) is performed using the Bel Kath, Joggo Dumur Pata, and Havan Samagri to permanently seal the absolute protection into the home!
  • • Absolute Protection: Worshipping Goddess Manasa creates a divine energetic fortress around the household, keeping away snakebites, unseen earthly dangers, and misfortune.
  • • Healing & Health: Her grace is specifically invoked to cure infectious diseases, pacify planetary afflictions, and bring profound physical wellness to the family.
  • • Complete Cosmic Purification: The extraordinary earthly elements used in her setup—such as the Ganga Mitti and Khari Mati—draw on the purest, most powerful energies of nature, fundamentally cleansing the spiritual atmosphere of your home.

The MySanatan Maa Manasa Puja Kit is an exceptionally focused package designed to invoke the supreme, protective power of the Serpent Goddess! We understand that to truly host Maa Manasa, your offerings must represent the very essence of the earth. That is why we have carefully sourced authentic elements like the Pancha Sashya, Natural Cowrie Shells, and Khari Mati. Furthermore, by specifically including the Pure Honey for the 6th step and the precise spices (Supari, Haritaki, Clove, Cardamom) strictly required for the 16th-step Tambula—which is absolutely mandated by the classical Purohit Darpan—we ensure your home is flawlessly prepared for the ultimate celebration of divine protection!

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Q1: Since we are worshipping the Serpent Goddess, does the Vedic tradition mention specific offerings for serpents during the monsoon?
  • For Devotees & Scholars: Yes, absolutely! The ancient Apastamba Grihya Sutras outline a highly specific rite called Sarpabali (offering to serpents) which is traditionally performed on the full moon of the Shravan month (the prime time for Manasa Puja). The text instructs the householder to offer a Sthalipaka (cooked grain), Kimsuka flowers, and even flour to pacify the serpents, seeking their protection during the rainy season when they emerge from the earth!
  • Q2: The kit includes "Gobar" (Cow Dung) and "Gau Mutra" (Cow Urine). Why are these necessary for the Puja?
  • For Home Ritualists: In traditional Vedic science, products from the cow are considered the ultimate spiritual and physical purifiers! According to the Purohit Darpan and classical Sutras, before the sacred fire pit (Vedi) or the altar is established, the ground must be ritually cleansed and coated using the Gomaya (Cow Dung). Furthermore, these items are key ingredients in the Panchagavya—a highly sacred mixture used to spiritually cleanse the idol or the sacred space before the Goddess is formally invited.
  • Q3: We want to use the "Pancha Guri" (Five Sacred Powders) to draw a Mandala for the Goddess. Is there a specific geometric shape we should use?
  • For Devotees: Yes! The creation of the divine energetic seat is highly precise. According to the Purohit Darpan, before placing the sacred water pot (Ghat) or the sitting mat (Asan), the worshipper should ideally draw a Trikon Mandal (a Triangle Mandala) on the ground using the vibrant colored powders. This geometric pattern actively anchors the intense Shakta energy of the Goddess into your home!
  • Q4: Can we offer food that has been cooked by someone who has not bathed yet?
  • For Home Cooks: You must strictly avoid this! The Vedic rules for the kitchen are incredibly strict regarding divine purity. According to the Apastamba Sutras, the person preparing the food (Anna Samskartara) must be absolutely pure. They must bathe, and while facing the food, they "shall not speak, nor cough, nor sneeze" to ensure the grand feast (Naivedya) is flawlessly fit for the gods.
  • Q5: What is the significance of offering the "Siddhi Leaves" included in the kit?
  • For Experienced Practitioners: In advanced Tantric and Shakta traditions, certain fierce or highly powerful deities (like Lord Shiva and specific forms of the Goddess) are offered items that possess intoxicating or mind-altering properties in nature, symbolizing the surrender of the devotee's own ego and worldly attachments. Offering the Siddhi Leaves (Bhang) is a highly authentic scriptural practice to honor the majestic and mystical nature of Maa Manasa!
